Guided walk of Wood Street.

Join us once again for a guided walk to discover the history and architecture of one of Wakefield's most important streets. The walk will leave from outside Wakefield Town Hall in Wood Street at 2 pm and will last around one and a half to two hours.

The Heart of Wakefield Project - Free guided walks around Wood Street

The Society has formed a partnership with Wakefield Council, Wakefield Historical Society and Leeds Beckett University to research the history of Wood Street in the centre of Wakefield. We are now ready to offer guided walks of the Wood Street area to share some of the interesting information that has been discovered.
