The next talk in our autumn programme will be given by Leeds-based author Rob Godfrey who will talk about his book, Imbolc, part one of Year of the Celt, a saga set in the Wharfedale valley in and around Otley 2,500 years ago.
This is a free event open to Society members and their guests and members of the public. The Orangery Café will be open at 7.00 pm. Teas and coffees will be available at the end of the talk.

Read MoreAs part of the Society's 50th anniversary programme, we have arranged a special screening of the classic 1960s film, This Sporting Life. The film will be shown at the Theatre Royal Wakefield on Monday evening, 22nd September, at 7.30. Tickets are available from the Theatre box office or from the Society.
