Join us on Saturday, 16th June for two free guided walks led by Wakefield Civic Society President Kevin Trickett.
16th June is designated national 'Civic Day' and, along with many other civic societies across the country, we are putting on special events exploring two of the city's Conservation Areas.
In the morning, starting at 10.30 am, there will be a guided walk of the Wood Street Conservation Area. Meet outside the Town Hall in Wood Street.
In the afternoon, there will be a guided walk of the St John's area. Meet by the bus stop outside St John's Church, Wentworth Street, at 2 pm.
Each walk will last approximately 90 minutes.
There's no need to book in advance for these walks, just turn up on the day at the designated meeting place and time.
