Each year, the Society organises a programme of talks, guided walks and social events for the autumn and winter months. Many of these events are open to the general public as well as our members and some are free to enter.
This year, the Society is once again supporting Wakefield Lit Fest with two events - a talk on how to save our town centres by Julian Dobson and a special screening of the 1960's classic film Billy Liar.
To find out more about our programme, download a pdf version here. You can book and pay for these events on line through our Eventbrite pages or, if you prefer to send us a cheque by printing off a booking form and sending it back to us with your payment.
And keep an eye on our website, Facebook and Twitter accounts for late news and extra events as they are added!
