Walking Tour of Wakefield

On Friday afternoon, 19th February, at 1.00 pm, there will be a walking tour of Wakefield city centre beginning with a talk about the history of the city and its buildings. The tour will include a visit to Wakefield’s Theatre Royal and the Gissing Centre and should conclude at approximately 4 pm, depending on the weather on the day. Again, booking is essential as places are limited. The route and any venues included in the tour will depend on circumstances on the day.

In February it can be very cold outdoors and then rather warm indoors. Please dress accordingly! Wearing flat shoes is recommended. Please note that access to the Gissing Centre, which is on the first floor, is via stairs and there is no lift
