Monarchy in the Regions - Talk

Join us at Wakefield Cathedral for a talk by Kevin Sharp, Clerk to the West Yorkshire Lieutenancy on Monarchy in the Regions.

Our meeting starts at 7.30 pm and is open to all, members and non-members. The meeting is scheduled to end at approximately 9.00 pm.

There is no charge for admission.

Last year, David Dinmore, one of the Deputy Lieutenants for West Yorkshire, attended our Afternoon Tea Party to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen. This set us thinking about the work of the West Yorkshire Lieutenancy and the role played by the Lord Lieutenant, Dr Ingrid Roscoe, and her team on behalf of the monarch in our region. We are delighted, therefore that Kevin has agreed to come and tell us all about it.

Tea and coffee will be available after the meeting with proceeds going to the Cathedral.

Please note that there will be a service of Evensong at the Cathedral prior to our meeting and this is due to end at around 7.20 pm. Anyone coming to the Cathedral for our talk is welcome to join the service or to sit quietly in the Nave until the service is over.
